Pergolas with angled louver blades you can open for sun and air or close for shade and rain, controlled by hand or remote.
A louvered pergola gives you control. Open the blades on a mild morning for sun and a breeze, tilt them to block the afternoon glare and close them when rain rolls in. It is the closest thing to an outdoor room with an adjustable roof.
We install motorized and manual louver systems in aluminum, with rain sensors, lights and screens as options. We design the frame for the weight of the roof, set the footings, wire the power and drainage, and program or teach you to use the controls. The structure drains through the posts or gutters so water goes where it should.
Each blade rotates together on a shaft. Open, they let air and light through. Closed, they overlap to shed rain into channels that carry water away.
Closed louvers shed most rain, but they are designed for drainage and not a sealed roof. We plan gutters and downspouts so water exits cleanly.
Motors need electricity, and sensors and lights need circuits. We coordinate with an electrician so the system is wired safely and neatly.
Louvers help manage sun angles through the year. We check wind and snow ratings for the system and follow the maker guidance.

You tell us about the yard, the timeline and any concerns, and we set a time to visit that fits your day.
We walk the yard, study the sun and the house, take measurements and draw a plan with sizes and materials.
We write the scope, coordinate permits and HOA approvals, locate utilities and prepare the site.
Footings are poured, posts set plumb and beams and rafters go up in a planned order.
We stain or paint, add lights and features as planned and clean the site thoroughly.
We walk the finished pergola with you, share care tips and leave you to enjoy the shade.
Closed louvers shed most rain into drainage channels. Heavy wind-driven rain may still get in at edges, and we explain the limits.
Many systems offer remote and app controls. We explain the options for the brand we install.
Most systems have a manual override. We show you how it works.
They have snow load ratings. Tilt them open before heavy snow and follow the manual.
