Pergolas, shade structures and decks around the pool, planned for water, sun and safety on every surface.
Few places in the yard need shade as much as a pool deck, and few are as demanding. Water, chlorine, bare feet and bright sun all make materials and layout choices more important. A poolside pergola gives lounging space, protects skin and furniture and frames the pool beautifully.
We design and build pergolas, shade structures and deck surfaces for pool areas, with materials that handle moisture and chemicals and layouts that respect safety and code. We plan footings away from pool shells and plumbing, set structures to shade seating and not the water and choose finishes that stay cool and non-slip. Pool areas combine water, chemicals and strong sun, so every material has to earn its place. We choose finishes that stay cooler under bare feet, fasteners that resist corrosion and layouts that leave clear walking paths around the water. Where possible we keep structures out of the splash zone and away from pool equipment, which makes cleaning easier and protects the wood and metal over time.
We shade seating, dining and lounge areas and leave the water open to the sun. We keep structures a safe distance from the pool edge and equipment.
Aluminum, composite and sealed cedar resist moisture. Stainless or coated hardware stands up to chlorine and salt.
Pool decks need non-slip, cool-to-touch materials. We coordinate with deck installers or help you choose pavers and decking.
Pool areas have barrier and setback rules and need electrical protection. We coordinate permits and qualified trades.
